First family outing
We took advantage of the beautiful weather today and took Carly out for the first time. We went to Walnut Creek and had a picnic. Tyler and Michael were excited to ride in the car with their little sister. Carly slept the whole time but I am sure she enjoyed the fresh air. It was great to go somewhere as a family of five!
Carly Marie Henkel
We found out our little girl Carly had Trisomy 18 while I was pregnant. Trisomy 18, also known as Edwards syndrome, is a condition which is caused by a chromosomal defect. It occurs in about 1 out of every 3000 live births. For more information visit www.trisomy18.org .
Carly Marie was born on July 30 weighing 4 pounds 3 ounces, 16 3/4 inches long. We have since brought her home and she is doing amazingly well.
